Tara Thornton, M.S. CCC-SLP

Tara Thornton, M.S. CCC-SLP is the co-owner of Kids In Action and she is an ASHA certified and New York State licensed speech-language pathologist. She is currently attending Adelphi University for her doctor of arts in communication sciences and disorders. Tara has taught a college level learning disabilities course and has supervised graduate students at Adelphi University's clinic. Her clinical work includes children 0-21 with the following diagnoses/impairments: hearing impaired, developmental disorders, fluency, neuromuscular disorder, cleft palate, and pervasive development disorder (PDD). Tara has been trained in oral motor and feeding, ABA, PROMPTS, augmentative communication, and auditory assistive technology.
